Hi, I found the case study “Resolving High CPU Usage on Oracle Servers” on your site. I am very grateful for it! I am sure I will learn a lot from it and other such case studies. I hope I find more of them on your site. 🙂

    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi Levi,
I was really impressed from your work. As understood I was looking for some documentation on ASM and I was fortunate to click your site.
    My Question is:
I am not a qulified DBA but I have enough thirst to do things.
We have a production Oracle Database version 10.1, it is a 2 Node RAC on windows 2003 32bit without ASM. I had my questions on https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2441011&tstart=0
The thing is that we are now moving to 2008 Windows with Oracle 10g version 10.2 and want to use ASM. My question is our Database is 800 GB and the space on SAN is 1TB. The SA asked me how many and what size of disk do I need. Can you help me understand and guide me on this.

    Thanks for any help…

What is best method if you had to choose to migrate ( like to like ) for many databases 100+ from one datacenter to another assuming downtime for RAC+ASM Databases
I have been leaning towards provisioning RAC on target & copying/migrating ASM Lun’s. How do we copy ASM lun’s and general steps
    Thanks in advance
